About Tom Test
Tom earned a BBA in Marketing in 1986 from the University of Michigan. Unhappy with the lack of freedom and creativity in the corporate world, Tom began his journey into voice-over in 1988. Less than 0.5% of all people who call themselves voice actors ever make a consistent full-time living at it. But Tom dedicated himself to refining his craft - organizing weekly practice groups and working with the most highly respected coaches in the country (like Marice Tobias) - and he finally burned his waiter's apron in May 1996.
By that time, Tom was not only one of the most popular non-union talents in the Midwest, he was also a much-in-demand voice-over coach and demo producer. His experience teaching others helped make him an even better talent, providing him with the skill to look at a script from both sides of the booth. Tom has the ability to pick up a script and instinctively know the best way to approach it to get the message across.
In his 20+-year career as a talent, Tom has worked on many projects that have won prestigious industry awards. No matter where you live in the U.S., you’ve probably heard and seen him many times! Tom is happy to collaborate with a range of clients, from start-ups to Fortune 500 firms.
